Our FAQs

Frequently Asked Questions

Is my child required to be potty trained by a certain age?

Children should be fully potty trained by the age of three in order to graduate to our three year old class.  Our teachers work closely with parents to insure that potty training is geared to each child’s specific needs to reach this goal; potty training is different for each child.

What are you teacher-student ratios?

In general, our teacher-student ratios are lower than the state standards allow. Each room is different.

Who are your teachers?

To be a lead teacher at Texas Little Conservationists, we prefer you have your Child Development Associate Credential (CDA) as a minimum standard; however, a few of our leads were hired based on their extensive experience and training rather than formal education. Many of our Assistant teachers and teacher's aides also have certifications or degrees and/or are working on Bachelor's degrees at our local universities. They also have experience working with children.

Our teachers are all given a full FBI (Finger Print) and criminal history background check. They must also complete at least 24 hours of training every year to maintain their positions.

What is your curriculum?

We use a theme-based creative learning curriculum. Each week we focus on different theme, letter, number, color.  Cooking activities are done weekly.

When is tuition due?

We require tuition be auto drafted out of a checking/savings/debit/credit card account.  Drafts can be done on the 1st of each month or split into two payments ½ on the 1st and ½ on the 15th of each month.  We do not accept cash, checks, or money orders as forms of monthly tuition payments.
